I didn’t at the time and like MANY others I just stood in complete bewilderment as the ocean suddenly receded half way to the horizon. To this day it was the most amazing, dumbfounding and eerie thing I’ve ever seen. Needless to say I got lucky to be able to tell the tale.

I’ll make a long story short. I ran. Got to a three story building and ran up. Water rushing up the stairs behind. Feet were wet when I got to the top.
