I am travelling from central Hainan to the southern cost line in a very small rural village called Huangliu ������ It's a very laidback place, but on the way there I met some increadibly nice people doing fishing and farming in the very rural areas of Hainan.

"It is a simple house, but life seems to be so peaceful here." Yes, same for this video. Nice slow pace, astonishing drone video's (the small boat and river island with the mountains behind it, so many colors from light green to deep blue. The children being natural actors. Little roads with little traffic. The food. The people. The trip to the night market. The swallows on the power line. Not your most spectacular video. But it made me happy. A simple quiet happiness and such an important contrast to all the noise. Thank you again, sweet far friend, for being our eyes in places that we never heard of, and that I am now searching for on Google Maps, feeling enriched.

I read that for thousands of years Chinese people were chained to the land. Huge percentages of populations farmed just to keep everyone fed. If a crop failed many people would die of hunger. Now it doesn't seem to be this way. Such industrious people. Another great video Yan. Thank you.

As someone who has traveled by motorbike many times throughout Vietnam, I have to admit that the roads and scenes you pass through on Hainan Island are exactly the same as the country roads in Vietnam. From the rivers, areca trees, jackfruit trees, starfruit trees and "zhu-bian"...curious children, friendly countryside people to the sincerity of the people in the villages I've been to. Well, one detail that surprised me was that the man smoked with a bamboo pipe. In Vietnam, we have had the same style of smoking since ancient times.
ahhhh I miss those trips so much.

The way you produce your videos, the choices of scenery and how you use perfect pieces of music to capture the mood is simply breathtaking. But the gem which makes your videos shine are the people you speak with. I am astonished of the kindness you are shown. I like this episode the same with all your previous videos which I've already watched. What I like most was your conversation with the kids. They are really interested with your drone and I also saw their amazement with what you are doing. It seems they wanted you to do that again with them that's why they are asking when will you go back. I feel a little sad for them. I'm sure they're gonna miss you and they will talk about you with their family and friends visiting their place bringing a drone.
I had a twin brother who also has a drone, he is also doing a vlog, he is a beginner and whenever he flew his drone some of our neighbor are happy watching themselves in the monitor.
It is satisfying to see the smiles in the faces of many people, like the smile of those kids. Thank you also for making me smile. By the way I am watching your videos from the northern part the Philippines. God bless you.

I love the village style set up in Asia. Farms in the county in the US is too spread out to have a real community outside of church.

I really did enjoy this episode, you drove through the types of villages we like to walk through. Where you went we could not take the car so we would perhaps have to stay in Wanchong and walk out from there. Bikes would be better of course, but as a 74 year old I am forbidden from riding motorbikes above 50cc. Do you perhaps have a blog where the routes can be more easily seen? Most of our walking is done within a few kilometres of our home in Wuzhishan city. Pop in and say hello if you're passing through again.

rural china has all the charm and beauty...did he say he's a taiwanese? ya...most taiwanese speak teochew or hokkien...i had problems there lol coz i speak cantonese, mandarin and a little hokkien only

All that food for 20yuan, you couldn't buy a bag of chips/fries for that here in The UK.
If there's a shortage of gardeners/landscapers in China, let me know, I'd emigrate.

the sticker behind your bike makes no sense in Mandarin but when I read it out in Fuzhounese I can make sense of it even though Fuzhou and Min Nan hua are different. I thought that was interesting. How is it pronounced in min nan? In Fuzhou hua it's "ping an more dai yeah"
