After leaving US and arriving in China, we felt a relief of leaving a hell hole and coming to heaven where we felt safe and forgot that we could stay out until 2.00 am which is such a drastic change from a dump in LA to paradise in terms of safety and delicious food right through the night.

I have travelled to over 20 countries on 3 continents, I must say it's the most futuristic city in the world. More importantly, the people. Chinese people were so kind and nice everywhere we went. I am amazed by the hospitality and friendliness. Love from India. I will visit with my family next time.

My husband and I had went to china last year, that was the most amazing travel experience in a lifetime

@jerryleiisme
The best part for this travel is that you don't need to worry about being shot at just anywhere.

@MrVieDetailing
Nice! I will be there in 2 months

Don’t forget to prepare your phone ahead of time. BTW, Shenzhen is where Tencent’s headquarter is, so Alipay is kind of restricted and Wechat is much more convenient there, and it’s just another way around in Hangzhou (where Alibaba’s headquarter is). What an interesting fact hehe

@lixxiao2237
beware of that, for China Bullet Train, the business class is better than the first class (it's different from the airplane). So, if you want to experience the best class,you must buy a business class ticket.

In fact, there are many high-rise 5-star hotels in Shenzhen that can reach 200m, and three or four of them are cheap for only 100-150 US dollars. For example, Renaissance Shenzhen Bay, Shenzhen Iron Crown, Huangting V, etc. Shenzhen's high-rise buildings are indeed one of the best in the world. There are more than 20 300m+ high-rise buildings, which can only be compared with Dubai.

@yudonghui
u have to consider the location, this one is located in the most busy and alive area of SZ, it is a 3 -star hotel and costs only $50 per night including breakfast.

@user-fq8rd1zh8u
 @yudonghui I just want to share the relatively cheap but relatively excellent hotels I have been to. However, the locations of the hotels I mentioned are also very good. They are all next to the subway, and one of them is right next to the shopping mall they went to in the video. Considering that they just made a video about a 5-star hotel in Guangzhou, I would like to recommend a low-priced but more interesting 5-star hotel in Shenzhen. If someone actually goes there, I think the 200-meter view will be good.

@sunnyhill3000
Thank you for showing the reality of China. I really enjoyed the 'eye travel' you brought to us. You guys are funny, humble, and friendly, unlike some travelers who are full of bias and hidden agendas in their videos.

Guangzhou and Shenzhen are actually now part of the same city, having physically merged via Dongguan (as in one can walk on urban streets surrounded by buildings from one city centre to the other, on a strip along the coast/ estuary as opposed to the bullet train route that passes countryside). In 2015 the World Bank registered it as the new world's biggest city, overtaking Tokyo. It now counts 41 million urban, and near 60 million by metro count. It's so big you can take a commercial flight from one end to the other

shenzhen is the newest city in China, Its history is only less than 50 years staring from a small fishing village. Most of the population composed of migrants from various parts of China. It is now the Silicon Valley of China. You should go to the high tech shopping centre where you can buy all the spare parts to build your I Phone.

China is a night-life country, but you unfortunately just went to Guangzhou in the wrong time — during Chinese New Year. Every day, especially weekends, streets will be packed with people there. In fact, quite the contrary, most of the shops in China, close at midnight or like 2-3am

Get a small bite first to see whether it is hot before you eat as a lot of Chinese food is freshly and hotly cooked. If the food is too hot, let it cool down first, it may taste better when the food is cooling down a bit.

the metro does not take alipay cuz SZ is the HQ for Tencent which is the parent company of wechat...wechat pay dominates SZ....the same situation in Hangzhou, the HQ of Alibaba

There are still many things we need to learn from the United States, such as self promotion. The propaganda ability of the United States is definitely the best in the world, and the vast majority of Americans I have encountered are overly confident. Related to China's Confucian culture, Chinese people have been taught to be humble since childhood. We are not good at boasting about ourselves, and China is still weak in self promotion. However, in the past two years, we have been continuously improving

The one at the mall does looks like a catapillar. However, Chinese dragons are usually very long. You may google "Chinese dragon" and you'll see a lot of pictures/drawings of them.

There are four railway stations in Guangzhou; Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou East Railway Station, Guangzhou North Railway Station and Guangzhou South Railway Station.

It was nice to hear the announcement for the next stop in Cantonese, as recorded in minute 13:50: announcements were first made in Mandarin, then Cantonese, and then English: next station is ____. Please mind the gap. In Hong Kong, announcements in the MTR (metro and train) are made in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (or is it Cantonese, English, and then Mandarin, can't remember now).

@snair-ur7mp
there are so many good places you guys can visit in both guangzhou and shenzhen.I don't understand why you just wandering in one shoppingmall to another.nevertheless,thank you for your videos

You can get so many different and delicious food in China which is a experience you will not have in other countries. Most foreigners can to China not only enjoy the beautiful city view but also the wonderful food.

@sherinazheng3290
id don’t think this video is showing the best part of Shenzhen, where is known as the Chinese Silicon Valley. If I wanna really experience the futuristic essence there, I wouldn’t spend the night at a mall to be honest.

@PROBASESPORTS
The hotel you stayed in was where I first worked in Dongmen, Shenzhen. I lived and worked there for a year. The next year I switched to Futian. The second year I worked there, Coco Park opened. I spent most of my lunch time there. During the six years I worked there, I watched CBD slowly improve. When I left, Ping An Financial Center had just been built. I really miss the time when I was young and working hard in big cities.
But it is recommended that you find local people to learn about Cantonese cuisine. What you ordered is not considered Cantonese delicacies. Either snacks, staple food, or even delicacies from other provinces.

security was kind of scary ???
the bathroom is abit small... were you expecting the Ritz size bathrooms?
And being Chinese does not make travelling across China any easier then being a foreigner, just like foreigners the Chinese people have to show their ID cards.

Red is not the color of evil, blue is. In the olden times red was the cheap easiest accessible color of paint so it was the color of common people (poor common people and farmers would have houses and barns in red) while blue was really expensive so only rich feudal lords and aristocrats/upper classes would have things painted in blue.

I am very happy when seeing where I live now appeared in your video.
After lifting the covid blockade, Dongmen immediately became a place where people went to live broadcast for money or popularity (supported by the local government).
McDonald's at the Dongmen is the first McDonald's in all Chinese mainland, which opened in 1990.
If I didn't want to please the girls, I wouldn't go to cocopark.

The snack is not waffle. It's call "little eggs 雞蛋仔". It's a traditional street snack from Hong Kong. Usually we just eat it as it is. Just pick them off one by one with our hands and eat them while we walk. But nowadays people will add ice cream and other stuff with them like you had.

@andybaker2456
I'll never understand what hotel designers are thinking when they decide to separate the bathroom from the room with windows!! It seems to be a "thing" these days. Even if you're sharing the room with a partner that you've been with for years, you still want some privacy when you close that bathroom door. Epic fail!

@tanmike2095
most hotel’s toilet have a curtain to curtain to cover the glass inside the toilet if you want privacy. It let you have a choice whether you want a see through or privacy.

@andybaker2456
@tanmike2095 Have you checked ALL of them?? Yes, in my experience there is sometimes some kind of mechanism that either obscures or covers the glass, but also there are those that don't have that feature. Even in this very video, it shows that the glass is obscured, but it's still possible to see what someone is doing in the bathroom.
But answer me this, why would you not want privacy while you're in the bathroom? We've managed with walled bathrooms for many, many years. Why has it now become a "thing" where you have to hope that if you find yourself in a room with a glass-walled bathroom, that there is at least a facility to cover those walls should you choose to do so?

@Cris-vj9ln
A possible explanation of the inconvenience metro, is that Alipay’s competitor Wechat is Shenzhen local company. So the business protection happens then.
